Welcome to the historical Ripley House.
Built in 1883 this gorgeous home was renovated in 2018. A beautiful balance of historical and modern charm, this home is a fantastic place for friends and multiple family generations to gather and a perfect location for holidays.
The layout of the home is a perfect mesh of private space and togetherness. The main floor consists of an elegant dining and living area, a separate lounge with a desk, futon, and comfortable seating, one and a half baths, laundry, and a stunning kitchen with double ovens, island seating, butler pantry, and breakfast/sitting nook.
From the first floor you can ascend the grand staircase to the second floor (or take the old “Servant’s stairwell” back stairwell). Here you will find four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There are 3 extra sleeping additions up here if needed (Two couches/futons and a fold out single bed) Two of the bedrooms also have a small work space.
This two story home doesn’t end there. In the basement you will find an entertainment room, additional bedroom and additional sleeping, as well as a sauna, pool room, and standing area with wine fridge.
Located in the quiet lakeside town of Montague, MI just a short peaceful walk from the downtown area. There is plenty to do and see in and around the area and just a short 5 minute drive from a beautiful public Lake Michigan beach.

This historical house was absolutely beautiful! Something I cannot talk about enough! Walking through the home the first time felt like you were in a movie! Rochelle was so responsive and helpful when I had questions! She even provided a book on what to do in the area which was so helpful! All around a great experience and would happily stay here again!

This is our second time staying at the Ripley house. We love how you can walk downtown to grab ice cream, food, or a beer at a local brewery. The four bedrooms plus the basement makes it easy to sleep a big crowd. And it’s a 10 min drive from a beautiful beach.
